This report analyzes the role of the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Central Asia. It argues that the new global security environment forces the OSCE to think about its future and to seek a revised purpose. The report focuses on how to establish a long-term strategic concept for the OSCE in Central Asia, how to increase the organization's influence in the region, and how to make changes to OSCE structure and staffing in order to accomplish the necessary tasks.
