This report lays out the public and private position of the Islamabad government on Kashmir and its relations with India. It also examines the way the issue is tackled by Pakistani politicians of all parties and the media. It further outlines external initiatives and possibilities for peace by integrating Jammu and Kashmir states into the Indian Union, giving independence to the region, accepting the line of control as international border, or redrawing the line of control.
