This report addresses the state and development of the Sudanese peace process and sets out points for a final settlement of the civil war. The paper discusses why it is time to strike a final peace deal and which elements are crucial for its success. Subsequently, the paper reviews decisive compromises needed, including the role of religion, power sharing and wealth distribution. Finally, the paper outlines the negotiation positions of all the domestic and foreign parties involved. The paper stresses US involvement and assurance as key for the peace process.
