This paper focuses on the European Union’s food security policies, which historically have been too sectorial for their own good. What the food diplomacy conducted by the European External Action Service should do, argues the text's author, is integrate development and humanitarian assistance programs together and align them not only with Brussels’ new Global Strategy, but also its international commitments on climate change.
