This report addresses state and reform of Kyrgyzstan's judiciary. It identifies key institutions of the legal system, discusses the problems of the judiciary and looks at measures necessary to reform it. Subsequently, the paper examines international support for judicial reform. It argues that the Kyrgyz judiciary requires significant reform to gain the trust of the public and to assert its role as an independent branch of government.
