This issue of the Russian Analytical Digest examines Russia’s approach toward Islam. The authors discuss the different forms of Islam, the Chechnya factor and Russia's overall relations with the Muslim world. Additionally, they draw attention to the development of Muslim fundamentalism in Dagestan.
