Publication

This text summarizes the results of a 19 January 2017 IAI conference where young scholars from the Middle East and North Africa spoke on Euro-Mediterranean relations and the current challenges facing Mediterranean countries. The topics covered include 1) environmental degradation and climate change; 2) notions of citizenship and the weakening of the nation-state; 3) the radicalization and the terrorist threats facing the MENA region; and 4) the unfinished migration and refugee crisis.
