This RESI issue focuses on 1) US defense continuities from the 1970s, which saw the introduction of the Revolution in Military Affairs, up through 2030, which may usher in a new revolution; 2) whether Mexico’s war on drugs (2006-2012) – in legal terms – qualified as an internal armed conflict; 3) the role of knowledge in dealing with terrorism; 4) a systemic (and functional) model to address violent radicalization; 5) a quantitative way to measure effectiveness in the fight against terrorism; and 6) the techniques and sources of error associated with intelligence analysis.
