Publication
May 2007
The publication examines the scope of small arms trafficking across the western half of the border between Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the unidirectional nature of trading. The author argues that while the demand in Sudan remains high and communities are saturated with weapons, the demand in the DRC is limited. The author attributes low demand for weapons to effective disarmament initiatives led by the DRC army.
