This publication highlights which lessons learned from the Iraq war are likely to influence India's foreign policy doctrine. The authors argue that although Indian officials have managed challenges with Pakistan, the Iraq war experience has exposed some major changes in Indian strategic thinking. The authors explain that the conflict has encouraged India's internal debate over the use of force to counter terrorism and the nature of India's relationship with Pakistan.
