This paper discusses the situation of the vast Palestinian refugee population in Lebanon, arguing that it constitutes a time bomb. It summarizes basic features of the Palestinian presence in Lebanon, reviews the evolution of Lebanese-Palestinian relations and points to the growing instability in the refugee camps. Subsequently, the paper reviews the growing role of jihadism.
