In this publication, Angela Ullmann and Seng Mai Aung highlight the lessons learned and good practices from a selected number of peacebuilding approaches to interfaith tensions in Myanmar following the outbreak of violence in the country in 2012. In particular, our authors draw insights from three case studies by addressing five questions frequently asked by peacebuilders facing conflicts with religious dimensions: 1) how does religion drive conflict; 2) how do we address religion in conflict; 3) how do we work on religion in conflict without making it worse, and more.
