This brief 1) analyzes the physical security and stockpile management (PSSM) challenges faced by Sahelian states; 2) explores how existing PSSM mechanisms are trying to address these small arms challenges; and 3) provides a PSSM Priorities Matrix that’s designed to help participating countries identify their PSSM priorities and communicate those needs to potential donors.
