Well, how can European states help sustain democratic stability in Tunisia, particularly in its peripheral, politically fraught inland regions? To help sustain the Tunisian public’s faith in their troubled state, this brief recommends that the EU strengthen its bilateral cooperation in key areas (military, private sector, and civil society) and extend an offer for EEA membership.
