What kind of global actor can we expect China to become, given its growing international profile and ambitions? To answer this question, the ten essays in this report look at current trends in China’s domestic environment, regional posture and global engagement to identify the country’s possible futures through 2025. The authors also explore how the EU can deepen its engagement with China in the international area while upholding its own norms and values.
