Annual Meeting Transatlantic Post-Doc Fellowship for International Relations and Security (TAPIR), 18–20 November 2008, Washington DC

The TAPIR annual meeting was hosted by the RAND Corporation, Washington DC, in cooperation with the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP), Berlin. At the center of the meeting were matters of military strategy and doctrine, privatization of security, European security policy, energy security, and the Middle East conflict, as well as a plenary discussion on the future of transatlantic relations with F. Stephen Larrabee (RAND Corporation), Daniel Hamilton (SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations (CTR)), Victor Mauer (CSS) und Eugeniusz Smolar (Center for International Relations (CIR)).
