Gabriel Brönnimann works as a senior researcher at the Center for Security Studies (CSS). He writes reports for the Swiss Government (the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP)) in the areas of cyber-security, critical infrastructure protection, risk analysis, resilience, and scenario planning. Gabriel Brönnimann holds a Master's degree in History, English Literature and Language from the University of Basel. Prior to his position at the CSS, he worked as a journalist for several large Swiss online and print media outlets for five years.

His personal research projects are focused on international cyber-security policy, organized cybercrime, and the influence of new media and the Internet on democratic processes. He writes academic papers, articles for the press, and he is a speaker at professional conferences on these topics.
