Christoph Kaufmann is a PhD candidate at the Center for Security Studies (CSS). He studied International Affairs at the University of St. Gallen and the Graduate Institute in Geneva. He holds a Master's degree in International Affairs and Governance and a diploma Certified Teacher for Business Education from the University of St. Gallen. Prior to joining the CSS, Christoph Kaufmann was a Researcher at the Centre for Security Economics and Technology, University of St. Gallen. Christoph Kaufmann specializes in the transformation of armed forces. His research focuses on how armed forces in neutral states adapted differently to the new security environment after 1989.
