Catherine Däniker is a project manager at the Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences (D-GESS), where she manages the public policy education, e.g. the Bachelor program in Public Policy, as well as related public affairs issues.

Between 2004 and 2008, she ran the Swiss Institute of International Studies at the University of Zurich, which provides insights and background information on developments and major topics of international and Swiss economy and politics. In 2000, she started her own public relations consultancy – her mandates included assignments from the services industry, as well as from the public sector. Prior to this, Catherine Däniker was head of Corporate Communications at Egon Zehnder International, Zürich (1995–2001), and earlier (1990–1993) Head of the International Division of Farner Consulting, Zürich. She also served as Secretary of the Swiss Advisory Council of the American Swiss Foundation from 1997 to 2009. After graduating from the University of Zurich (Political Science, lic. phil. I), she initially worked in the public relations department of Credit Suisse, Zürich (1984–1989).
