Peter Faber is head of ISN Strategy and Operations. Prior to joining the ISN, he was an associate professor of Security Studies at the US National War College and a part-time faculty member at the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University. He also served in the United States Department of Defense for 30 years, both as a strategic planner and as a policy developer. He has taught at nine academic and professional schools over the years and has lectured in 21 countries.

Peter Faber holds five advanced degrees, including two from Yale University. In addition to strategic planning, his other areas of specialization include European security issues; US national security policy and planning; Western military history, theory and strategy; and global terrorism.
