Reto Schilliger joined the ISN in September 2008 as Head of its Training & ADL Competence Center (TACC). As part of his duties, he also acts as the Chairman of the Partnership for Peace Consortium’s Advanced Distributed Learning Working Group (ADL WG), and a Rapid-e-Learning trainer-coach for the Swiss Department of Defense.

Prior to his arrival at the ISN, Reto spent more than 20 years shaping and leading numerous e-Learning projects for the industrial, defense and educational sectors. His specific areas of expertise include the following: technical documentation and performance support; multimedia computer and web-based design, training and testing; project and team management; and the training of technical writers and e-learning authors.

Reto holds an MSc in Instructional Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, and has further formal qualifications in corporate communications. He and his team are happy to discuss the open source e-learning tools they have developed or administer with anyone who is interested in setting up e-learning programs of their own. The tools include the ILIAS SCORM Editor, the ISN Multimedia Slideshow Tool, the ISN Mobler Learning Cards App and more.
