CSS Analysis in Security Policy
Russian Analytical Digest (RAD) Caucasus Analytical Digest (CAD) International Security Forum (ISF) |
The policy brief series CSS Analysis in Security Policy offers a focused discussion of current developments and events in international security. The briefs are published in three languages: the English version is geared at an international audience, the German and French versions often look more closely at what the respective security issues mean for Switzerland. In doing so, they reflect an institutional viewpoint of the CSS.

The International Security Forum (ISF) was launched in Zurich in 1994 and has since been at the forefront of cooperation among international security professionals around the world. Over the years, the ISF has brought together hundreds of political leaders, top civil servants and military officials, scholars, and media representatives from some 50 countries. The conference is biennial and is held alternately in Zurich and Geneva.
The Zurich Strategic Dialogue brings together up to 25 leading security policy experts from the fields of politics, the administration, the armed forces, think-tanks, and academia. The informal conversations promote the exchange of views on current and future security policy challenges and strengthen existing networks as well as support the emergence of new ones.
The CSS organizes a number of workshops to promote cooperation and the exchange of ideas between academics and security policy-makers engaged in practical work.
The CSS fosters public discussion on security policy through regular media contributions. The secretariat of the CSS will be glad to handle your requests for interviews, articles, and analysis. Please contact Astrid Karrer (karrer@sipo.gess.ethz.ch; +41 44 632 40 25).
