In light of Russia’s 18 March presidential election, the four articles in this edition of the RAD look at 1) presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak, including the controversies surrounding her as well as why she could in fact be a strong addition to the country’s opposition ranks; 2) the positions of Russia’s “systemic opposition” presidential candidates on politics, the economy, social policy and foreign policy; 3) the perspectives of Russia’s youth towards individualism, pragmatism, protest and more; and 4) trends in voter turnout and electoral mobilization in Russia’s federal elections.
