This brief explains why the US’ liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity has grown sharply, and how LNG exports will benefit America’s security and prosperity. The economic potential exists in reaching new markets, but Washington should facilitate matters by simplifying and shortening the LNG export approval process.
