The authors argue that US air, land and marine transportation systems are designed for accessibility and efficiency, making them vulnerable to terrorist attack. They discuss issues relating to aviation security, transit and passenger rail security, and marine cargo security, while highlighting federal systems and priorities. The report concludes with a discussion of hazmat cargo security.
