This issue of ACCORD Conflict Trends focuses on leadership in Africa. Contributions analyze democratization and rising ethnic tensions in Nigeria, leadership issues in post-conflict transitions, and the role of African parliamentarians in securing lasting peace and prosperity. Additional contributions discuss the training of African leaders, as well as challenges to the economic reintegration of ex-combatants. This issue also provides situation reports on conflicts in the Central African Republic, Angola, Senegal, Chad and the Republic of Congo.
