This publication proposes a new containment strategy aimed at countering a worldwide expansion of conflict and violence. The author draws a parallel to George F Kennan's concept of containing the Soviet Union during the Cold War and explains how warfare in the 21st century, when there is no longer a clear single enemy for the West, needs to adapt by making containment of security threat its primary goal.
