This report presents the situation in Belarus since the presidential election in March 2006. The first part is devoted to the internal situation and describes the political scene, namely, the ruling camp and the opposition. The second part examines the foreign relations of Belarus, especially with Russia - its most important foreign partner, and with EU as well as NATO countries. The author concludes with predictions of future developments in Belarus.
