This paper identifies and describes the implications of ill-defined areas of partnership in Africa, as well as their long-term development objectives. The author also analyzes Africa's strategic partnerships such as the Africa-Europe summit or the China-Africa Cooperation Forum. He addresses the political, economic, cultural and social development that have the potential to shape African society, and their implications on the peace and security agenda on the continent.
