Publication

This publication summarizes proceedings from a conference on security and peace in outer space, held in Geneva from 25–26 March 2004. It explores ways for the US and international community to ensure that outer space remains a non-threatening environment for peaceful use by all. It discusses topics including space security, means to guarantee space security and assurance, international legal approaches to outer space regulation, the role of disarmament, and the importance of transparency and confidence building measures.
