This paper examines the UN Integrated Approach concept in peacebuilding missions, as well as its compatibility with the 'joint' integration approach of the African Union and other regional organizations. The author emphasizes the importance of training in terms of differing approaches as a means of making joint and more complex operations with national and NGO participation more effective.
