This report discusses the sub-Saharan agenda of the G8 summit of April 2005. The report features Tony Blair's "Marshall Plan" as a solution to some of the challenges and issues characteristic of the region. The report concentrates on poverty levels, debt cancellation, the lowering of trade barriers, and general development problems in Africa. The report concludes with an assessment of G8 engagement in the region measured against African reform efforts.
