This publication presents an overview of the topics discussed at a USIP event in December 2009 regarding the effects of international policy on Somalia and the efforts of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG). It discusses whether supporting the TFG is the best way to achieve stability, and potential alternatives for international engagement.
