This issue of the Russian Analytical Digest analyzes environmental issues and the green movement in Russia. First, Alexei Yablokov analyzes the serious ecological challenges Russia faces, linking these to the low average life expectancy in the country. Second, Samuel Charap discusses Russia’s lackluster record on climate change. Finally, Maria Tysiachniouk examines the transformation of Russia social movements and their gradual de-radicalization.
