This paper discusses China’s role in international weapons proliferation and US efforts to contain Chinese weapons supply activities since the mid-1990s. It first looks at Chinese weapons supply to Pakistan, North Korea and Iran, and how these supplies have aggravated trends in weapons proliferation; and then looks at some of the US approaches to limit Chinese weapons supply to these countries.
