This publication brings together the presentations given on 27 October 2005 at the third annual seminar, organized in collaboration between the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), under the title "Security and Post-Conflict Peacebuilding: The Role of the United Nations". The main focus of the debates was the role that the UN plays in the security dimension of peacebuilding processes in different regions.
