This brief discusses the history of UN General Assembly Resolution 377, commonly referred to as the "Uniting for Peace Resolution". It describes how the resolution could be used by Palestinians to bypass probable vetoes at the UN Security Council and call for international recognition of a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly.
