This study looks at the Bangladeshi migration to Italy. It discusses the immigration reform in Italy that paved the way for the migration, the characteristics of Bangladeshi emigrants, their channels of migration, role of intermediaries in the migration process, the economic cost of migration, and inflows of remittances and their implications for family dynamics in Bangladesh.
