This is a transcript of the first session of the 2010 'UK and the World Conference' on the UK’s place in a changing world. The UK is in the process of transitioning to a more traditional foreign policy which looks to a far more international and global set of partnerships. It is going to have to do it in a different way and in a different world as the balance of power has shifted in the last ten years.
