In light of the growing protest movement in Russia against Putin's regime, this paper examines Russia's political and economical situation, the current conflicts as well as the country's foreign policy and discusses future challenges for the democratic movement and Russia. The author argues that as the political resistance to Putin builds, the system that Putin created will be put to the test.
