This issue features two articles about Somalia, discussing the plight of female refugees and the post-conflict reconstruction in the country. The Security Council of the African Union, and the theory of 'zones of peace' as a means of conflict prevention are also examined. In addition, the conflict in the Cabinda province of Angola and the disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration of Angolan combatants are discussed. Finally, there are articles covering the elections in South Africa and the revolution in Haiti.
