The insight discusses the implications of the US race to the White House for Israel. The resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict will be an important issue for certain groups of voters in the next US presidential elections. It is questionable whether Obama did as much for Israel as he states he did. On the other hand, the Republican side remains divided, with candidates competing on who would take stauncher pro-Israel action. Only the Republican candidate Ron Paul would keep the Israel issue on the agenda, which would not necessarily serve Israel well.
