This article questions whether it is worthwhile for the Israeli Defense Rorces to purchase the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The author argues that Israel, before making a decision, should examine whether existing airplanes cannot confront the changed threats that Israel is facing, whether it is worth purchasing the F-35 when flight tests are not yet completed and whether current combat aircraft cannot be upgraded.
