The number of contenders vying for the Republican presidential nomination has sunk to four with Mitt Romney the most likely candidate. But, thanks to successful fund raising campaigns, the other contenders do not have any compelling reasons to drop out of the race. The author notes that even with a limit on campaign funding in place, Jewish funding remained important. He however argues that should the positive trend continue, it would be hard for any Republican candidate to beat the incumbent president, even with sufficient funding to campaign.
