This report examines Judge Samuel Alito's major judicial opinions concerning freedom of speech cases. Judge Alito was nominated by President Bush to take retiring Justice Sandra Day O’Connor’s seat as associate justice of the US Supreme Court. The author also briefly discusses some individual cases in which Judge Alito showed his freedom of speech opinion.
