This is the first part of a two-part transcript that focuses on the role that the Republic of Seychelles plays in counter-piracy activities in the Indian Ocean, particularly when it comes to providing needed staging facilities and advocating the criminal prosecution of pirates. The transcript then offers next-step recommendations on how to tackle the dual problem of piracy and institutional fragility in the Somalia area.
