This report explores the possibilities for additional bilateral engagement between the US and Mexico with regard to information sharing on potential transnational security threats, illegal immigration and deportation. It reviews the history of immigration policy and migration flows between the countries and the demographics of Mexicans within the US. It also analyzes contemporary issues related to US immigration policy and the impact that collaboration with Mexico could have on inward migration to the US.
