This commentary discusses Canadian political and economic stability and what this means for the United States. The author argues that the US can anticipate benefiting from a Canadian government with four-year-stability. It will be able to make decisions and anticipate they will stick. The US can likewise hope for progress on continental perimeter security with its obvious economic benefits and the sociopolitical advantage of lessening intrusive security at the US-Canadian border. The US can finally anticipate solid military cooperation with Canada.
