This commentary discusses the media monitor outcomes for the review of Lebanese reactions to the UN Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) indictment of Hezbollah members. The author argues that a month after its issuance, political tensions within Lebanon remain high and the conflict between Hezbollah and its political allies and foes remains deadlocked. Even so, the indictments have not provoked a political earthquake against Hezbollah and the organization maintains a solid grip on the Lebanese political system and retains its ability to marginalize the political forces behind the “Cedar Revolution” and the creation of the tribunal.
