This is a transcript of a discussion on the results of the Chatham House-YouGov Survey 2012, a survey of British attitudes towards the UK's international priorities. For the survey, 2000 electors across Britain were polled as well as nearly 750 opinion-formers, including business leaders, politicians, academics and journalists. The analysis of the findings points towards a definite distinction between elites and public opinion on foreign policy. Opinion-formers overwhelmingly believe that the international financial crisis poses the greatest threat to the UK way of life whereas the general public continues to believe that international terrorism represents the main problem.
